How to choose

• Start at the wall. Choose the shower and bath wall mixers first, because rough-in bodies go in before tiling; the basin and accessories can follow.
• Stay in one range where you can. Shades can vary slightly between ranges, even in the same named finish.
• Check every piece comes in matte black. Rough-in bodies are hidden and only come in chrome or stainless, which is fine; everything you see should match.
• Kitchen is separate. It's fine to run a different finish in the kitchen, as long as it suits the sink and handles.

FAQs

Can I mix matte black with other finishes?

Yes, but do it on purpose. Keep the tapware in one finish and bring in a second finish through accessories, lighting or cabinet handles. Two different tap finishes in one room usually looks accidental.

How do I keep matte black tapware looking good?

Wipe it with a soft cloth and mild soapy water, then dry it. Don't use abrasive pads, bleach or acid-based cleaners. In hard-water areas, drying after use stops white marks building up.

Are these products WaterMark certified and WELS rated?

Tapware sold in Australia must be WaterMark certified, and taps and showers carry a WELS water-efficiency rating. Each product's spec sheet shows its certification and, where it applies, the WELS star rating and flow rate.
